DJ MAKASI PODCAST by Dj Makasi

At the age of 13, Makasi had his first touch on the Turntables that directly blew him away. Bought records (vinyl) and started to figure out how he could manipulate the music..

From that moment he dedicated his life to music! Over the years, Makasi has lived in New York & Los Angeles and learned there to understand that you have to think outside the box when it comes to mixing music. Because of one of his great examples Dj Am (r.i.p.) Makasi is mixing all kinds of genres in a special way! This is what makes him different than all the other Open Format / EDM Djs!

During his musical journey, he had the honors to play with some of the biggest Talents on stage like: Flo Rida, T Pain, Nicole Scherzinger, Wil.I.Am., 50 Cent, N.E.R.D., Ne Yo, and the list goes on! Because of his wide range of music he got to play at the afterparty in Caesar's Palace - The Colloseum (Las Vegas) With Leonard Cohen! Also shared the turntables with Djs like Chuckie, Laidback Luke, A Trak, Martin Solveig, Afrojack, R3hab, Nervo,… 

Last year, Makasi played at the Winter Music Conference in Miami. Did Fashion Week (sept.) in New York. Played at several Clubs in Las Vegas / Hollywood.  Played at Tomorrowland for the 2nd Time in a Row and Even got invited to TOMORROWWORLD in Atlanta to Represent the Belgians! Also he was one of the Ambassadors of the Clothing brand Philipp Plein, where he would travel to Milan, Moscow, Dusseldorf, … to provide the Fashion Shows & After party’s!

While having the clubs on lock, the Summer of '13 was a big summer that included all the major festivals! Summer Festival, Tomorrowland, Daydream, Laundry Day, Sunset Fest., Travelled to Spain, Uk, NYC, LA, Dubai and many more. 

He Continues to play for an A-list Clientele of Socialites and Celebrities & has become a favorite of Launch & Fashion Parties! Due to his marketability, animated personality & eclectic music selections, Dj Makasi has established himself as one of the most sought dj’s around the globe!
